A monthly forum for analysis & comment, CBE's Schools Around the World (SAW)™ is an international community of teachers and policy makers from the United States and eight partner nations committed to improving instruction and achievement in science and mathematics. The American Education Reaches Out (AERO) project works with U.S. overseas schools to develop a set of high academic standards which can be used as a framework for curriculum.

Center for Teaching International Relations, University of Denver

For 30 years CTIR has brought the world to K-12 classrooms in Colorado on throughout the country. CTIR develops internationally oriented programs and publications to support professional educators.

China Institute

China Institute promotes the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of traditional and contemporary Chinese civilization, culture and heritage, and provides the cultural and historical context for understanding contemporary China. They carry out our mission through classroom teaching and seminars, art exhibitions, public programs for children and adults, teacher education and curriculum development, lectures and symposia and business programming.

Council on Islamic Education

Council on Islamic Education provides a number of services, resources and research-based tools predicated upon the highest standards of historical and social science scholarship to K-12 school textbook publishers, state education officials and policymakers, curriculum developers, and teachers. In particular, we assist these education professionals to cover world history and related subject matter in a balanced, comprehensive and sensitive manner. This includes covering world faiths according to prevailing ground rules for teaching about religion (such as those advanced by the First Amendment Center).

Choices Education Program

Choices Education Program, Brown University: Choices offers a series of curricular materials that address current and historical international issues and provides workshops for teachers at the secondary level. The Capitol Forum on America's Future engages high school students in dialogue at their state capitol. Choices Public Programs bring citizens together for community-based dialogue on international issues.

Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship Tufts University: EPIIC is a carefully integrated multidisciplinary program. Through its innovative and rigorous curricula and projects, EPIIC prepares young people to play active roles in their communities, whether at the local, national or global level. Many students consider their participation in EPIIC a profoundly formative experience: challenging them to reassess or even jettison prior assumptions or beliefs; expanding their understanding of how historical, cultural and ideological forces can affect both individuals and nations; and inspiring them to pursue careers in public service or international affairs.

Global TeachNet is the premier professional development network for global educators. Our membership includes K-12 teachers, post-secondary educators, and non-governmental organization representatives. These educators, many of who are Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, share one common interest -- broadening the global awareness of today's youth.

LATTICE

LATTICE – Linking All Types of Teachers to International, Cross-Cultural Education: The mission of LATTICE is to assure a global perspective in K-12 classrooms. With members and friends from 45 countries, we work together to heighten our awareness, sensitivity and under- standing of global issues including ethnic, cultural and religious diversity. The LATTICE network supports international learning in order that the children of today can be effective participants in the world of tomorrow.

Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education

The Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education (SPICE) serves as a bridge between Stanford University and K-14 schools by developing multidisciplinary curriculum materials on international themes.

Teach Global Ed

An online database of over 6,000 resources reviewed to help teachers teach about Africa, East Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Slavic and Eastern Europe, global issues, global systems, and intercultural and global education. There are special modules for elementary teachers and teachers of several world languages.
